Not every medical issue is an emergency, but that doesn’t mean it can or should wait for the next business day. Urgent care is here for pets who need attention as soon as possible. Think complaints such as limping, infections, minor wounds, vomiting or sudden discomfort that are worrying but not necessarily life-threatening.
Urgent care bridges the gap between routine vet visits and full-scale emergencies. If you can’t get a prompt appointment with your regular vet, come see us at Nexus. We will see your pet sooner so their symptoms don’t worsen and they’re not left to endure unnecessary pain. Your regular vet will be kept up to date on everything that occurs.
Reassurance is the best gift we can give worried pet owners. Our team will assess your pet, provide treatment or relief and help you decide what’s best for their ongoing care.
Some conditions aren’t emergencies but still can’t be ignored. Urgent care ensures your pet gets relief without the long wait for a regular vet appointment or the stress of an emergency visit.
We’re here to make your pet feel better as quickly as possible, whether they’re hurt or feeling unwell. That might mean pain relief, medication or just keeping them comfortable until more care is available.
Your pet is part of your family, and we will never pressure you into unnecessary courses of action. Urgent care is about pet wellbeing, and our team will only offer what is necessary, with full transparency.
Knowing what to do after your pet receives treatment is as important as the care itself. You will always walk out of Nexus with a clear plan, whether that means monitoring your pet at home, follow-up testing or further treatment.
We will provide an honest assessment of your pet’s health and condition, and there are never any unnecessary tests or hidden costs involved. We make our recommendations in the best interest of each patient.
Should further support be required, such as a follow-up appointment with your regular vet or a referral to a specialist, we’ll guide you in this process.
Dr Gosliga, THANK YOU for your tender care. My 14 year old rescue, Maya, had suddenly become very ill and the diagnosis was sepsis leading to organ failure. You discussed the treatment options in a compassionate way. We agreed on supportive care to improve her comfort, and then taking her to familiar surroundings for euthanasia at home. We miss Maya so much, but the quality of her last hours were in no small part due to your quick willingness to lend what helpful support you could.
