Worried about what’s going on inside? At Nexus, advanced pet diagnostics begin the moment you arrive. There’s no waiting for external labs or wondering what’s next, our in-house technology often lets us run blood tests, x-rays, ultrasounds & more while you’re beside your pet.
You’ll see the scans in real time, hear the results explained clearly, & know exactly what’s happening & why. When your pet needs answers fast, we ensure you’re informed, involved, & never left in the dark.
Our diagnostics are designed for urgent care. We begin gathering the insights needed to guide treatment from the moment you arrive. Our in-house capabilities include complete blood counts, biochemistry, cytology, blood gases, ECG, glucose monitoring, & more. Many have results in minutes, most within the hour.
Need an X-ray? There’s no wait & no stressful transfer. We bring our mobile Rover Plus radiology unit directly to your pet. Imaging is instant, interpretation is fast, & if a second opinion is needed, results are shared with a specialist within the hour.
We’re proud to be the first veterinary emergency hospital in Australia using the Rover Plus by Micro-X – a cutting-edge mobile radiology system designed for bedside imaging with minimal radiation scatter. That means less stress for your pet, faster decision-making for our team, & the option for you to stay by their side during this important diagnostic. It’s the responsive, real-time care that not all hospitals can offer, but your pet deserves.
Pet diagnostics can feel overwhelming. But here, they don’t happen behind closed doors. In our open-plan hospital, you stay close while our team works – hearing results in real time, asking questions, & understanding the path forward as it unfolds. You’re not left wondering; you’re informed, involved, & supported.
Whether it’s a bedside ultrasound, a blood test reviewed together, or the reassurance of seeing your pet’s progress tracked on a digital treatment sheet, you’ll always know what’s happening & why. That kind of transparency isn’t just part of the process; it’s part of who we are.
Because diagnostics should be as compassionate & clear as they are clinically advanced.
Dr Gosliga, THANK YOU for your tender care. My 14 year old rescue, Maya, had suddenly become very ill and the diagnosis was sepsis leading to organ failure. You discussed the treatment options in a compassionate way. We agreed on supportive care to improve her comfort, and then taking her to familiar surroundings for euthanasia at home. We miss Maya so much, but the quality of her last hours were in no small part due to your quick willingness to lend what helpful support you could.
