Nexus does not have in-house specialists, however, we provide specialist-level care through telemedicine and external referrals. Our telemedicine service gives access to certain specialists 24/7, minimising delays and often removing the need for a referral, so your pet can still receive expert care without transfers or added costs.
We make sure your pet’s care continues smoothly. Once they’re stable, we help coordinate any follow-up treatment they need, so you’re not left figuring out what comes next on your own.
Our emergency team handles many complex cases, but some situations need specialist care. When that happens, we have a trusted network of experts across different areas of veterinary medicine to ensure your pet gets the best treatment possible.
We consult with these specialists through telemedicine for real-time support that helps us make informed decisions quickly.
If your pet needs specialist diagnostics, we make the referral process easy for you. We’ll assist in arranging appointments and share relevant medical records. Right now, your focus should be on your pet with no added stress.
Accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective treatment. When a case is complex, we collaborate with specialist radiologists and pathologists who provide expert analysis of imaging and lab results, so we can be sure nothing is overlooked.
Digital X-rays, ultrasounds and advanced lab work can be sent for specialist review in real time. This allows us to confirm findings, refine treatment plans and move forward with confidence and no unnecessary delays.
By combining our emergency expertise with specialist insight, we provide a higher level of care in one place. Your pet benefits from expert opinions while remaining in a familiar, supportive environment.
Dr Gosliga, THANK YOU for your tender care. My 14 year old rescue, Maya, had suddenly become very ill and the diagnosis was sepsis leading to organ failure. You discussed the treatment options in a compassionate way. We agreed on supportive care to improve her comfort, and then taking her to familiar surroundings for euthanasia at home. We miss Maya so much, but the quality of her last hours were in no small part due to your quick willingness to lend what helpful support you could.
