Is your pet experiencing a sudden illness or serious injury? Our clinic is open 24/7. Just walk in anytime, no bookings or appointments necessary. If you’re unsure whether they need urgent attention, you can always chat with our nurse hotline first.
When you arrive, a nurse will triage your pet’s condition. Critical cases receive immediate treatment, while stable patients will see a vet as soon as possible. With an efficient team and a streamlined process, Nexus keeps wait times to an absolute minimum.
Once it’s your turn, a vet will examine your pet, explain their findings and then walk you through a comprehensive treatment plan that will include veterinary costs and next steps.
Care in emergency clinics is naturally unpredictable because wait times are dependent on the number of pets needing care. Cases involving complex diagnostics or intensive treatments may also take longer, and this will affect how soon our vets can see other patients.
Our purpose-built facility allows pets and owners to stay together for as much of the journey as possible, as we find it helps to keep them calm and minimises their stress levels, which is beneficial for treatment and recovery. For those struggling a little more, we also provide quiet spaces away from all the noise.
As a pet owner, you’re not just a visitor; you’re part of the Nexus team. We keep you informed and involved, and while we work efficiently, you’ll always know what’s happening and why. There will be no unnecessary delays or uncertainty.
Making medical decisions for your pet can be challenging. We don’t want you to feel that way during a time that’s already trying. We want to remove confusion by keeping things as simple as possible. Our vets explain what’s happening and walk you through your options with no pressure and no confusing jargon.
At Nexus, we’re upfront about costs, so you’re never surprised with hidden fees in moments that are already difficult. and you’ll know exactly what to expect before making any decisions.
If something doesn’t make sense, please ask us. We’re here to have real conversations and make sure you feel confident and informed throughout the journey.
Dr Gosliga, THANK YOU for your tender care. My 14 year old rescue, Maya, had suddenly become very ill and the diagnosis was sepsis leading to organ failure. You discussed the treatment options in a compassionate way. We agreed on supportive care to improve her comfort, and then taking her to familiar surroundings for euthanasia at home. We miss Maya so much, but the quality of her last hours were in no small part due to your quick willingness to lend what helpful support you could.
Yes, NEVH welcomes walk-ins 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—no booking required. If you’re unsure whether your pet needs immediate care, you can also choose to Chat with a Nurse first for guidance.

Wait times can vary depending on the severity and complexity of cases already in the clinic (especially if diagnostics or intensive treatment are involved). That said, NEVH’s purpose-built facility, efficient process, and transparent communication help manage expectations and reduce uncertainty.
